I’ve been to Vienna two times, once in 2011 and another in 2012 (thank you ACGC!!). I stayed with the same hosts, the Dejelos, both times so it was more like home the second time.
I got sick towards our last days in 2012 so I wasn’t able to sightsee that much.
Of course we went to First District and shopped!
This is as embarrassing as it looks like but there’s no H&M in Manila 😛
We visited the Schönbrunn Palace. Unfortunately we were there too early and didn’t see the flowers and gardens blooming.
We climbed all the way up. The view was certainly worth it 🙂
And there was the lone Cherry Blossoms tree given by Japan in one of the gardens
In 2012, our stop in Vienna was over Easter weekend which resulted to most stores closed and for some reason, even the temperature wasn’t cooperative that it was really cold most of the time. It even snowed! Too bad it didn’t stick on the ground 😦
We visited the garden dedicated to Mozart (with a flower-y G-Clef!)
Rainy Stephensplatz. We had to pass by Starbucks to heat ourselves before we started shopping.

Artsy-fartsy pictures of Prater
We couldn’t leave Vienna without passing through Prater! I decided to try two rides (I only tried one a year ago) with Liz.
One was this snake thing that sent us all the way up and upside down and everywhere. I was deathly afraid of heights, I had to scream it all out. Hahaha.
We were still so excited while waiting for it to start!
Then this happened…
(At least some of us enjoyed the ride..)
Our legs felt so wobbly, we couldn’t walk straight! I think we were both just too happy nothing bad happened 😛
The second one was called Extasy where we were twirled and spun around so many times, even upside down. We honestly didn’t think it was going to be bad.
Moral of the story: It’s wrong to assume. I wanted to puke all the way home 😦 this was the before, no after because my stomach felt like it was going to give up soon.
The Dejelos, Annabel and Jacqueline. I miss them both!
This was how Liz and I looked like after riding Extasy. It was crazy. I felt like I was hungover trying to get home.
Rainy day on the way home from Prater
Commuting to the church for our Easter Sunday mass
Everyone was looking up because it was snowing! Wish it was clearer in the pictures.
The following pictures are products of trying to laugh off the cold we were feeling that day. It was windy + snowing. Not a good combination. It was around 2-3 degrees Celsius.

We sang for the Bisaya community after lunch. We used the time to take more pictures (what’s new?)!

We sang at the Vienna International Centre (UN HQ) for the second time too!

Last night with the Dejelos + Liz.
Can’t wait to see you guys again 🙂
Wasn’t much of an informative post. Just wanted to share my favorite photos in Vienna. Still deciding which to post next, Bratislava, Budapest or Venice?
